Tony Villiotti, who lives in Pennsylvania, was diagnosed with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease in 2005, which progressed to metabolic-associated steatohepatitis by 2014. He shares how the absence of a clear roadmap early in his diagnosis led him to create one for others facing a similar journey.

When I was first diagnosed with MASLD, I wish I had known where it could lead. There was no explanation that informed me the disease could progress to NASH — or even what NASH was. And beyond NASH, it quickly progressed to cirrhosis early on.
I wish I had been given a roadmap that explained where the disease could lead. In fact, after my recovery, we actually developed something called the Fatty Liver Roadmap.
